Vivienne Lawes delivered an exceptional series of lectures on the 29 th and 30 th of August, taking us on a fascinating journey through the impact of Eastern imports like tea, porcelain, textiles, and rugs on 18th- century British culture. Her deep knowledge and infectious enthusiasm made the experience unforgettable.

The Special Interest Day on The Aesthetic Movement was equally enlightening, with William Morris’ motto, “Nothing useless can be truly beautiful,” wonderfully emphasised. A truly outstanding and enriching experience! We are looking forward to another fantastic evening in November looking at the famous Picasso’s Guernica. Tickets can be purchased at the door and includes a glass of sparkling wine with fellow art lovers after the lecture.
