Gerringong & District Historical Society

10 Blackwood Street, Gerringong

GDHS was established in 1981 to collect and preserve the history of the Gerringong district. Since then, the Heritage Museum opened in 2021 in the Gerringong Library and Museum (GLaM) complex with a permanent exhibition in the refurbished School of Arts. We welcome donations of objects that reflect local and Australian history, we hold Nights at the Museum with guest speakers and we encourage an interest in history through special focus exhibitions.

We support and engage with neighbouring Historical Societies through the Shoalhaven Museums and Galleries Association and meet at 1.00pm every forth Saturday of the month in the Gerringong Library meeting room.
