Tony Varayiannis

Tony Varayiannis is a 51-year-old Kiama local & business owner, with extensive experience in banking, finance and property valuation.


Prior to becoming co-owner of Cafe Kiama & Scoops Ice Creamery, Tony held Director roles with CBRE Valuation & Advisory, Australia’s largest commercial real estate group & a Fortune 500 Company. Tony also sat as the Head of Valuations – NAB. He remains a Certified Property Valuer, having done so for 25 years.


In his youth Tony went to SS Peter & Pauls Kiama, worked in the family’s Terralong Street business, Kiama Fruit Market, and Big Rooster (now Red Rooster).


He was a member of the Kiama Royal Life Saving Society, played soccer for Kiama and school rugby league, having attended Chevalier College Bowral & then Cranbrook in Sydney.


Tony represented at schoolboys level in rugby union, NSW Country, Illawarra, Combined Associate Schools and NSW Schoolboys.


He also was in the Australian Army Cadet Corps reaching the rank of Cadet Under Officer


Tony and his partner, Melanie, share three mature-age children.
