Rehearsals are held every Monday night and alternate between Kiama and Wollongong.

KIAMA ILLAWARRA PRIDE CHOIR WELCOMES ALL

The Kiama Illawarra Pride Choir (KIPC) brings a musical voice to the LGBTQI+ community and their allies in the Shoalhaven and Illawarra region. KIPC is a non-auditioned choir and believe that everyone has a voice to be celebrated! We welcome people, LGBTIQ+ and allies, of all ages and all abilities who love to sing together.

The choir began in 2021 and despite lockdowns we kept singing! This year our choir has performed locally and beyond enjoying performing at the Blackheath Choral Festival, TheServo at Port Kembla and Coledale Markets. Some of our favourite gigs have also included singing at Pride events for ACON, Rainbow South Coast and the Trans and Friends Festivals at the University of Wollongong. Proudly led by our Musical Director Tia Wilson, a locally acclaimed musician and performer. Our choir has a strong belief in the power of singing and its ability to build community and promote well-being in mind and body. We perform a broad range of repertoire in the pop and contemporary genres, with a little classical in the mix. It is our enthusiasm and joy that drives each performance.
