With the close of registration of candidates and groups not until 4 August, there is still time for others to emerge as candidates for the Council election on 4 September.
Kiama Council is hosting an information session for people intending to stand as a candidate, with Mayor Mark Honey and CEO Jane Stroud providing an insight into the responsibilities of councillors and an overview of the day-to-day business of running a council.
Council's management executive will also be available to answer questions.
The session will be held at The Pavilion on Thursday 15 July, 5.30–6.30pm. Register at www.kiama.nsw.gov.au/candidateinformationsession For further information, contact Emily Vaughan on 4232 0444 or [email protected]
Four groups (including two parties) have already announced their candidates for the Council election on 4 September.
The Bugle App now has an Council Election section to provide voters with information about the various parties & groups, and their candidates.
