Changes to Woolies access

As Kiama Village enters stage two of its redevelopment, vehicle and pedestrian access into the Village will change from tomorrow (6 July).

The new rear car park close to Meares Pl will be reopened to vehicular access via the existing roundabout.

Pedestrian access will be provided from Terralong St via the new access road, and from Meares Pl via the existing stairs.

As part of stage two works, Woolworths will be closing for a period of three weeks beginning 24 July to safely replace the roof.

During the closure until 15 August, a pop-up shop with essential products including milk, bread and fresh produce will be available in the Kiama BWS, which will remain open along with Kiama Health Destination Pharmacy.

 Stage 2 construction is underway

Online delivery will remain available, however, there will be no option for in-store pick-up.

A free shuttle bus service will also operate three days a week to and from the Kiama Village Shopping Centre and Stockland Shellharbour.

Woolworths Kiama group manager, Norm Wicker, hopes the alternative options will provide local customers with peace of mind during the store’s closure.

“We’d also like to extend our thanks to the Kiama community for their continued patience and understanding while we complete the renovation to the Kiama Village Shopping Centre,” Norm says.

Stage two construction will include work on the new decked car park and new Direct to Boot service, and construction within Woolies which will allow for the expansion of the range and provide a fresh new look.

Kiama Village currently remains on track to complete construction by December.
