Kiama Council has begun a three month trial of a new online portal developed by Resilience NSW, designed to make it easier for residents to prepare for and respond to emergencies.
The Disaster Dashboard combines real-time information from a range of emergency services all in one place, to help residents stay safe and receive live updates on fires, floods, road closures, beach conditions and storm warnings. It has already been adopted by more than 40 other NSW councils.

The dashboard also includes short and sharp guidance on how to prepare for emergencies and where to find support after disaster has struck.
