Kiama Council’s undeveloped carpark on the high side of Akuna St is on the market, with Colliers Wollongong the marketing agent.
Last year Council sold its landholdings on the opposite side of Akuna Street to Level 33 Property Group for $28 million, but further divestment is necessary under the State Government imposed Performance Improvement Order.
What can be built on the 2400sqm parcel, over four lots, will be governed by a site specific section of the Kiama Town Centre DCP.
The numbers show the number of floors allowed for in the DCP
It is being sold by tender, as required by the Local Government Act to allow for due diligence, probity and conflicts of interest to be appropriately managed.
The Expression of Interest period closes 28 June 2023.
The final sale will need approval at a Council Meeting.
