CWA spreads Easter joy

The Country Women's Association Kiama Evening Branch, has once again demonstrated their commitment to serving the community by preparing family Easter baskets to deliver to Vinnies.

Emphasising the importance of being active in the community, the CWA members have poured their hearts into creating Easter baskets filled with treats and essentials, ensuring that families in need can celebrate the holiday with dignity and joy. Their dedication to making a positive impact on the lives of others reflects the core values of the CWA, which has long been synonymous with charitable work and community support.

In addition to their Easter efforts, the CWA Kiama Chapter is gearing up for another significant event on the community calendar. On Anzac Day, they will be present at the Memorial Arch, where they will be selling 500 knitted poppies and giving away Anzac cookies.

Last year, their fundraising endeavours raised over $1000, and they are optimistic about surpassing that figure this year.

For those interested in joining this remarkable group of women in their mission to make a difference, the CWA Kiama branch holds their monthly meetings on the first Wednesday of each month at 6 p.m. These gatherings take place at the Kiama Downs Surf Club, starting with a meal and providing members with an opportunity to connect, collaborate, and plan future initiatives aimed at serving the community.
