In response to a request from us, the police have provided details of their high profile presence on Glenbrook Drive, Spring Creek, on Tuesday and Wednesday which was of great concern to neighbours.
Just before 7am on Tuesday, officers attached to Lake Illawarra Police District attended a home there for the purpose of a Firearms Prohibition Order.
“While at the home, police located quantities of illicit substances including methylamphetamine, cannabis, cannabis oil and heroin. A crime scene was established, and a search warrant was obtained,” says a police spokesperson.
“A 35 year old man was arrested at the home and taken to Lake Illawarra Police station where he was charged with supply cannabis, supply prohibited drug – large commercial quantity – serious indictable offence, and two counts of possess prohibited drug.”
The man has appeared in Wollongong Local Court, where he was formally refused bail. He will reappear in the same court on Wednesday 16 November.
