With 70 per cent of the first votes counted, and preferences still to be sorted, it looks possible the Kiama Greens may have three councillors on the next Council, as they are currently sitting on 2.73 of the quota.
The Kiama LGA is determined using a proportional representation voting system, where a candidate is elected if they reach a quota of votes.
Any surplus of over the quota then gets transferred to the next preferred continuing candidates.
Labor is looking likely to get two places on the Council (currently on 1.56 of the quota).
At this stage, it appears they will be joined by Karen Renkema-Lang (SAFE 1.35), Neil Reilly (Team Reilly 1.16), Matt Brown (We Love Kiama Gerringong Jamberoo 1.15) and Mark Croxford (Your Community Candidates 1.35).
Warren Steel, with 0.68 of the quota at the moment, looks unlikely to get back in, after serving 25 years as a councillor.
Counting continues on Monday.
