If you’ve had withdrawals from no longer being able to pick up freebies from the kerbside collection, you’ll love Council’s Up4Grabs area.

Thousands of items from the just completed Household Bulky Waste Drop Off, that still have some life left in them, are now available for free to the general public.

It’s open until Thursday, from 8am to 4pm at Minnamurra Waste and Recycling Centre, 446 Riverside Drive.

On average more than half the material taken to the depot during the Drop Off is recycled or reused.

Council wants you to note the following:

• STOP at the weighbridge to see staff
• wear appropriate covered footwear 
• ensure children are supervised at all times
• park in the designated car parking area.
