Local foodie group, Kiama Feast, is hosting a one-off fundraising event in Kiama Downs.
Founded by Carolyn Lee in February this year, the group meets on the 3rd Wednesday of each month to share meals based on a theme, with each member taking it in turn to host the event at their home.
“People don’t have to be chefs or super gourmands; you just need to love food. It’s an opportunity to try different things and meet new people,” says Caro.
“For the April dinner each household will cook a Yottam Ottolenghi dish and then donate $50 to the flood relief up North. I think we all feel a bit helpless down here, so this is an easy way for us to contribute something to the cause.”
Caro says that everyone is welcome, as long as they’re triple vaxxed.
“Come along, bring a dish, talk a little bit about your inspiration and enjoy a meal together.”
The dinner is planned for 20 April, at 6.30pm. You can find more details about the event on the Kiama Feast Facebook page or call Caro on 0414 675 673.
