Following their successful Christmas Carnival event last year, the Kiama Anglican Churches’ Families at Four team are hosting an Easter Fun Day for families with young children.
Besides holding a giant Easter egg hunt, there will be a donut van with gelato, an array of arts and crafts activities, face painting, pony rides, a movie zone and kids’ fun zone with supervised games.
“We encourage mum, dads, grandparents, aunts and uncles to come and engage with the kids. That was the best part of the Christmas Carnival, when the whole family came and participated together in the various activities,” says Marc McLaren, a member of Families at Four.
Last year’s event brought in over 200 people but Marc is expecting the Easter Fun Day to pull in a much bigger crowd.

“It’s a way for us, a local church and group, to build relationships and a sense of community for young families,” he says.
Families at Four meet every Sunday afternoon at 4pm for an hour to create a place for families to connect and enjoy being part of a vibrant community.
In case of rain, there is a wet weather plan to keep everyone dry.
