The Federal Government has today announced plans to merge the names of Kiama, Gerringong, Jamberoo and Minnamurra.
Under a barely believable plan which has been kept under wraps until April 1, The Bugle has been informed by an anonymous bureaucrat in Canberra that the proposal has the approval of both Anthony Albanese and Peter Dutton should they win the election next month.
The combined name of the four towns would be known as Kiamberringmurra.
Signposts will need to be updated and the Federal Department for Place Names has allocated $12.34567879 million for the project.
The government spokesperson said: “It is an ambitious project and you would have to be a fool on this date to believe that this will happen.”
They can't be serious.
P.S: Our newsroom has been contacted by a "local government organisation" about the money that washed up on Kendalls Beach and is making a claim to the missing millions.
Happy April 1, everybody.
