Help bring warmth to LismoreBags bound for Lismore

Kerry Fahey, owner of Kerrys Klothes in Terralong St, is off to Lismore on Thursday with yet another truckload of essentials donated by Kiama people to those affected by floods who are now facing winter.

Lismore is 4 degrees at night. A truck and trailer load of blankets, pillows and doonas were taken up last week by another local Tony McGarn and were welcomed with much gratitude by this devastated community.

But now a call has gone out for other items such as new hot water bottles.

An earlier delivery from Kiama was greatly appreciated

“My conversation with Lismore is if you are in Kmart and can add Ugg boots, slippers, flannelette PJ’s, track pants, hot water bottles or beanies to your trolley that would help enormously,” Kerry says.

“They have had 100 new mattresses donated and would love queen mattress protectors.

"But please no used clothing.”

Kerry asks you to mark the size of any doonas or mattress protectors – “a few minutes for you saves me hours!”.

“Beanies are desperately wanted, so please get out the knitting needles,” Kerry says.

Please leave all donations at Kerrys Klothes, 90 Terralong St Kiama by Wednesday, between 10am and 4pm.
