After a three year hiatus caused by COVID and wet weather, the Jamberoo Car Show and Family Day, which raises funds for the Jamberoo Red Cross and Jamberoo Rural Fire Brigade, will be back again this year, marking a welcome return for what has been a very popular event since its small beginnings just a few years ago.
This year’s Show will be held on Sunday 29 October at Kevin Walsh Oval in Jamberoo, with organisers expecting there will be around 500 classic cars on display. As well as cars, a display of modern and vintage fire trucks will on be show, plus stationary engine displays. The Show will have plenty to offer for children, including a jumping castle, face painting, animal nursery and pony rides. And of course there will be a range of food and drink vendors on site catering to every taste.
The Show is a key part of what has been called the Jamberoo Big Weekend. The Jamberoo Village Markets will be held in conjunction with the Show for those looking for retail therapy, the St Matthew’s Church Annual Book Fair will also run across the entire weekend, and local businesses will be gearing up to welcome visitors. Other events are rumoured to be planned, so watch this space for more details of what promises to be a great couple of days in the village, with something for everyone - not just car enthusiasts.
