A significant landslip and large tree blocking the road has caused the closure of Jamberoo Mountain Road.

Council has closed the road above The Abbey, with local residents still able to access their properties advising motorists to use Macquarie Pass and Picton Road as alternatives.

As yet, crews have not been able to get there to fully assess the situation, so the extent of the damage is not yet known.

Swamp Road at Jamberoo is also closed due to flooding, with this situation expected to continue for another week.

The Dido Street bridge has been closed intermittently over the last few days.

So far, 294mm has been recorded at Bombo for July.
