Brett Robinson, CEO of Traders in Purple, when commenting on Kiama Council’s rejection of the Springside Hill development is quoted as saying that “it’s quite disheartening to hear them champion a petition that values a passing view of cows more than the aspirations for home ownership”. If that is Mr Robinson’s considered view then it reflects that he really has no understanding of the motivations of hundreds of locals desperate to maintain the rural atmosphere of the rapidly diminishing agricultural countryside that has been the appeal of this beautiful area for so many years. Will someone in the future champion a passing view of colorbond roofs?
