Kiama Central Precinct’s first meeting of 2024 takes place at 7pm tonight at the Joyce Wheatley Centre with a stacked agenda that’s sure to get the town talking.

The theme for the night seems to be town planning and development, with a bevy of topics from the past two months including:

• DA Subdivision Dido Street - 67 lots
• Akuna St DA
• Resubmitted DA Corner Terralong and Collins Streets
• South Kiama Planning Proposal
• West Kiama Proposed Re-Zoning
• Henry Parkes Drive Subdivision
• Bland Street, Kiama
• Variation to Performance Improvement Order from Office of Local Government
• Update on sale process of Bluehaven Bonaira

The agenda also includes a discussion on the NSW Government’s involvement in the planning process, asking the question “how can the community have its say?”.

Alan Woodwork will also provide an update on the community engagement strategy, and John Greet will discuss the future of precinct/community groups.
