Jamberoo and the surrounding area is still without power, following last night's big storm when winds reached 130km/hour.

Kiama SES teams have worked through the night to attend to more than 50 calls for help in the Kiama area as a result of heavy rain and damaging winds.

They warn that if you need to travel today, take extreme care as many large trees have fallen, powerlines may be down and a number of local roads are closed.

Both Jamberoo Mountain Road and Macquarie Pass are closed due to fallen trees.
