Manhunt underway for South Coast prison escapeeDavid Johnson, supplied by NSW Police

A man escaped a South Nowra prison early this morning. 


David Johnson was last seen on The Links Road, South Nowra, at approximately 7:45am today, Wednesday 29 January 2025, after escaping a minimum security correctional facility. 



The 44-year-old man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 185 centimetres tall with a medium build, brown hair, blue eyes, and a goatee-style beard. 


NSW Police have reported that the man is wearing a black bomber jacket, hi-vis top, and black track pants. 



South Coast Police District officers have commenced an investigation to locate him.


Anyone who sees Johnson is urged not to approach him but to contact Triple Zero (000) immediately.
