Who is eligible to vote early?

If you would like to vote in person but you are unable to get to a voting centre on election day, you may be eligible to vote early.

You may be eligible to vote in person before election day at an early voting centre for a state election if you: 

1. will be outside New South Wales on election day
2. will be more than 8km from a voting centre in your electorate on election day
3. will be travelling and unable to attend a voting centre on election day
4. are seriously ill or infirm, and due to such illness or infirmity will be unable to attend a voting centre
5. are approaching maternity
6. have religious membership or beliefs that prevent you from attending a voting centre on election day
7. are in a correctional centre and prevented from attending a voting centre on election day
8. are caring for a person outside of a hospital setting, which prevents you from attending a voting centre on election day
9. will be working on election day
10. 10.are a silent elector
