Our guide to Democracy sausages and cake stallsPrepoll voters, and there have been many, have missed out on the treat

The much loved election day tradition of grabbing a democracy sausage on your way out of the polling booth will continue this year for the State election on 25 March.

The BBQs and election day cake stalls are great ways to support local organisations.

Jamberoo Public School’s P&C will be hosting a sausage sizzle stand on election day with all proceeds to be spent on the school.

Kiama-Jamberoo Uniting Church will also be rolling out the snags, as well as cakes, to raise money for the Church.

Two Kiama High School students, Hallie Richmond and Sophie Yates, will be hosting a sausage sizzle BBQ with drinks at the school polling booth to fundraise for their upcoming trip to the London International Youth Science Forum.

For those with a sweet tooth after carrying out democratic duties, the Minnamurra Public School P&C will be hosting a bake sale for voters.

Other polling booths in the area on Saturday are:

-     North Kiama Neighbourhood Centre

-     Werri Beach Progress Hall

-     Gerroa Neighbourhood Centre

-     Gerringong Town Hall
