Police are gathering at Blowhole Point after details of a planned protest against COVID-19 restrictions was posted on facebook last night.

The post urged 'freedom warriors' to gather at the Blowhole late morning and then march through town.

The Member for Gareth Ward has urged people not to attend.

"Don't undo our good work," he said.

"I'm angry enough that Shellharbour is in lockdown without sending Kiama there as well."

Police have yet to release a statement on the matter.
