Members of the Catholic, Uniting and Bahai communities welcome other locals to join them as they gather together tomorrow at 11am, as part of the largest ever global faith-based Day of Action for the Climate.
The bells of St Peters & Pauls will be rung, followed by prayer, reflection and a commitment to continuing action.
The Kiama branch of Australian Religious Response to Climate Change (ARRCC) has organized the event, which will be recorded and shared on the ARRCC Facebook page with similar events occurring across Australia and globally.
The bell ringing is to publicise a multi faith statement by the newly formed GreenFaith International (GFI) Network, calling for a recovery from COVID which will help create a more just world order while tackling the climate crisis.
