NSW Police have confirmed reports that a man in his 60s has died after being pulled from the water near the Rockpool at Blowhole Point.

Emergency services were called to the rock pool around 5.30pm, following reports a man had been pulled from the surf unresponsive.

Despite witnesses commencing CPR before ambulance paramedics arrived, he could not be revived.

The man is yet to be formally identified.

The police have commenced inquiries into the incident and a report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
