The ACM 2024 NSW State Conference kicks off in Kiama on Friday, 24 May

On Friday, 24 May, the ACM (Australian College of Midwives) 2024 NSW State Conference starts in Kiama.


Themed, “Midwives Making Waves,” the conference will run for two days, from 24-25 May at The Pavilion Kiama



Keynote speakers are: 

  • Dr Jana Pittman (a former Olympian, who became the first woman to represent Australia both at the Summer and the Winter Olympics); 
  • Walawaanii, nyama Melanie Briggs (who descends from the Gumbaynggirr and Dharawal peoples); 
  • Dr Helen Cooke (a registered midwife for the past 43 years with a PhD in Interprofessional Education); and
  • Sarah Mumm (a general counsel at Silico Quantum and formerly on the Australian Olympic Committee).
