All were checked in and now comfortably seated
The speaker was there and had been duly greeted
The meeting had started with a feeling of urgency
When all of a sudden there was an emergency
The lights slowly dimmed then it quickly went dark
It was just a blackout, but some thought it a lark
‘Cos a lady in red began to shout
“Who’s the silly old goose who turned the lights out?”
Upstairs in the club there were weird sounds and rumblings
But back in the room there were some dodgy fumblings
Enough for the lady in red to shout out
“Keep your hands to yourself, you senseless old clout!”
There was pushing and shoving
Some were knocked to the floor
A few others joined in
But
Most chose to ignore
Then the lights came back on, once more shining bright
It was now time to find out who started the fight
But the lady in red, just calmly said
“If it wasn’t me so it had to be
Someone else instead!”
