Despite the weather, gardeners have gathered to celebrate the winners of this year’s Kiama Garden Club Spring Garden Competition.

Club publicist Vivienne Marris says that the 52 garden entrants this year was an excellent response, considering the COVID-19 hurdles.

The awards ceremony and morning tea were relocated from Burnett’s on Barney to the Kiama Baptist Church because of the weather. Competition convenor Jenny Brown noted that the numbers attending had to be reduced because of COVID, but looks forward to welcoming all garden club members to next year’s awards celebration.

• Senior Living Complex Category: Blue Haven Residents Garden
• Predominantly Native Category: Vanita Bhargava
