The Member for Kiama, Gareth Ward, has said after talks with the Premier's Dept, the Deputy Premier's Office and the Minister for Tourism he has cleared up uncertainty and can confirm that from 11 October, fully vaccinated residents of Kiama can travel anywhere in regional NSW.
"You could in theory go from Kiama to Tweed Heads," he says.
"The stay at home orders will be in force until then, and the date is dependent on meeting the 70 per cent target for double vaccination in the week before the 11th."
Sydneysiders heard yesterday they will not be allowed to travel to regional New South Wales until 80 per cent of the state's eligible population is fully vaccinated.
For the purpose of regional travel, the Government has now classified Central Coast, Shellharbour, Wollongong and the Blue Mountains as Greater Sydney.
