Jamberoo Mountain Road will be closed on Friday 22 December to allow council workers to safely remove any overhanging branches.

The road will be closed between Misty’s Lane and Barren Grounds from 8am to 2pm.

Prolonged wet weather this week has increased the likelihood that branches could pose a threat to motorists travelling on Jamberoo Mountain Road around Christmas.

Residents will still have access to their properties thanks to traffic controllers, but anyone else will have to use Macquarie Pass if they wish to travel to and from the Southern Highlands.
