Jeff Sheppeard from Gerringong is exhibiting a collection of his photographs from 12 to 18 October at the Old Fire Station.
After retiring from the NSW Police with PTSD several years ago, Jeff rekindled his childhood passion for photography. Photography became his solace, helping him reconnect with nature and find inner peace. His exploration of our scenic region led him to capture the beauty of our coastline through his lens.

Jeff reveals, “Whenever I have my camera in my hand, it turns off all the clutter in my head, and I feel a sense of peace looking through the lens of my camera trying to capture the perfect moment.” Any negative thoughts disappear, and he becomes hyper focused on the natural beauty around him.
Jeff's photographs aren't just images; they're stories waiting to be shared.
Jeff Sheppeard will be at the exhibition to discuss his craft. He has a vast catalogue of photos, both on display and in his digital collection, which you can explore. If you're looking for a specific shot or have a creative vision in mind, Jeff is eager to bring it to life for you. “I love all aspects of photography and like to create my photos to become a talking piece. I love seeing people stand in front of my work like it’s a Picasso painting trying to work out how it was captured, where it was taken or what it actually is,” Jeff says. ‘
None of his photographs involve Artificial Intelligence or Photoshop. What you see is a genuine representation of the world as Jeff sees it.
