Kiama Men’s Shed is holding an open day tomorrow for new and prospective members - only so they can check out the new premises, meet current members and learn more about what goes on at the shed.
“Men interested in finding out more are invited to come and see what is happening here,” says Ian Yabsley, the Shed's President.
“Some have expressed an interest and are keen to come in and have a look at it.
“There will be a sausage sizzle and coffee for those who come in for a chat about the Shed.”
Ian stresses this is not an open day for the whole of the community, because the Shed is not completely set up, however one is planned in the coming months.
“When the Men’s Shed is fully set up and going, we will be having a public open day for the wider community to come in and have a look at what we’ve got,” he says.
The Men’s Shed, in the old train workshops at 20 Eddy St, will be open to prospective members on Thursday 10 February from 9.30am.
