Approximately 100 tonnes of green waste from the storm has been dropped off at the Minnamurra Waste and Recycling Facility in the first three days of Council's free drop off period.
This equates to approximately 330 trailer loads coming over the weighbridge.
Tomorrow (31 August) is the last day of the free period, which allows local residents to dispose of two ute or trailer loads each. Trucks are not permitted.
Proof of residency is required when dropping off.
Council's team has thanked residents for observing COVID safety measures during the drop off, including wearing masks and unloading their own material.
The household bulky waste drop-off planned for September has been postponed, with an extended event planned for March.
The Facility is open 8am-4pm.
