The Australian Electoral Commission will not be doing a recount of the Gilmore election result.

In a tweet, the AEC said: "The AEC has carefully considered and declined a request for a recount in the division of Gilmore.

"We'll be publishing an updated time for a declaration of this seat in due course."

Labor's Fiona Phillips was to have been declared the winner, by a mere 373 votes after preferences, yesterday but the request from the Liberal Party put this on hold [Recount requested for Gilmore].
