Here's what happened across the Kiama LGA on the weekend of 28-29 October!
Jamberoo Jam Festival
The Jamberoo Jam Festival definitely put the JAM in Jamberoo, attracting big crowds estimated to be up to five thousand on Sunday 29 October.
A highlight was a performance by Illawarra boy band Overnight.
Hosted by Destination Kiama, the JAM Street Festival hosted music on two stages and street food available in the closed Allowrie street.
Also available was circus training with Dave Evans, the Jamberoo Car Show and the whole festival stretched all the way to the Saint Matthew’s Book fair in Chapel Lane.
Halloween haunts
Locals celebrated Halloween from Saturday 29 October to Tuesday 31 October.
Local cafe Saltwater had a resident psychic Janelle all day Sunday, who was very popular with customers seeking insight into their future. She’ll return on Tuesday.

Small fire in Gerringong
Gerringong RFS attended a small garage fire in Croft Place, Gerringong on Saturday 28 October, 2023.
On arrival, the fire had started to extend into the first floor but was quickly extinguished, which confined the fire to a small area and saved most of the house from fire damage.
Preliminary investigation suggests the fire was started by a battery charging in the garage area.
