Well, well, well! Now there's a surprise! ICAC has chosen not to investigate 3 outgoing Councillors - a sensible outcome and victory for commonsense. This community should, and must start asking questions as to why this 'referral' ever took place? Whose interest was it in? From an outsiders perspective it would seem that it was a nasty and spiteful way of getting back at those members of Council who didn't toe a certain line or strategy recommended. The community should be demanding to know who leaked names to the press! If the CEO cannot identify who was responsible, then surely questions need to be asked about her ability to manage the internal workings and affairs of her own staff. The disgraceful and unedifying incident that cast a pall - unfairly - over three good women, must rank as just about the lowest point this Council has sunk to in many years. There are several people in Council, both from the elected class, and the administration, who should hang their heads in shame at this very vindictive action!
