A reminder that nominations for Kiama Council’s 2022 Australia Day Awards, which recognise and celebrate the achievements of outstanding members and groups in the community, close on Friday 12 November.

There are four categories:

• Young Citizen of the Year (under 30 years of age)
• Senior Citizen of the Year (65 years or over)
• Community Group of the Year
• Citizen of the Year.

Individual nominees must be Australian citizens and reside within the Kiama LGA. Selection of recipients will be made on the level of personal achievement or commitment in serving the community.

Award winners will be announced at the official Australia Day ceremony on Wednesday 26 January 2022.
